Leisure activities Everyone have some kind of hobby, what he/she really loves to do. Someone likes to play ball, someone likes to dance, someone enjoy reading. REPORT Young people's activities in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000 Introduction The aim of this report is to describe, how are young people's favourite pastimes changed between 1996 and 2000. The survey is carried out in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000. Students who were questioned were 16-18 years old. My findings are presented below. Numbers have given in precentages. Changes among pastime activities. At graph we can see big changes. 1. Before 1996 students mostly watched television but in 1998 it was already ten percent less. In 2000 it was only twenty five percent. 2. Before students loved to read books, but in 2000 this number was only fifteen percent. This is not good anymore. 3. In 1996 students did not know what is computer or what we can do with that. In 2000 everyone can use computer. The most students have computer at home. They told,

GYM A large number of people do not do any physical activities. This means that they not only go to gym, put they don't do any physical activities at all. Some of them don't have time and the others just don't want to. But what are advantages and disadvantages of going to gym? Although going to gym may be tiring, there are certain advantages to be gained. Firstly because physical activities you will loose fatness and get fit, the risk of being overweight is reduced. Secondly, your immunity will be stronger, so the risk of sickening is smaller. On the other hand, during physical activities you may hurt yourself, for example your muscles may rip or you may break a bone or twist your leg. Moreover, you don't have so much free time if you do physical activities regularly, it may take hour or even more in one day, if you want it to have an effect.

Forest industry, agriculture and other human activities in the nature, as well as pollution, disturb and even endanger the life of wild animals. Firstly, big forest machines disturb animals. For example, in winter the machines disturb animals who hibernate in winter. As a result, animals can leave their habitations and go somewhere else where is quiter. My trip through bog Me, my dad and my cousins traditionally go hiking every summer. Last summer we decided to go through bogs of Lavassaare. As it was going to be a week-long tramp, we considered our equipment carefully. We made list of everything we needed and then crossed out all that wasn't absolutely nesseccery. We couldn't have better timing: it was clear and warm all week long and it was exact time for wild strawberries and blueberries. We enjoyed the nature and especially the bog lakes. We spent six days in bog and travelled 55 kilometers with this time. This may seem as a short distance, but in bog, where your every step sinks and bog lakes lie exacly on your way, it is pretty long.

Nowadays preffered a lots of comfort by choosing a life in the city. So life in the countryside seems a little bit boring or compliacted. What are the pluses and minuses of living in a country? What i would prefer and why? I think that life in the country is most interesting in summer, because you can peacefully enjoy the nature in your own garden. In the city it is impossible. In the country you almost never can't be in a situation, that there is nothing to do. You will always find new activities, because you need to take care of the yard, irrigate glasshouses and flowers, dig and etcetera. These activities are not minuses at all, but just keep you rather in action, that you don't get too comfortable, so it is good for you too. Over the years it can be tiring, but it is already a habit and your own work is always good to enjoy. I think that if people, who are lived for many years in the country will move in the city, will feel that they are still missing something.

The most important advantage is that you find an activity that you enjoy doing and that you stick with it. There is a variety of things you can do. You can run, walk, swim, bike, go hiking, do athletics, lots of different methods for keeping fit. It is often suggested to go dancing. Dancing is a very good aerobic activity, requires physical liveliness and burns a lot of calories. One point of view in favour of that you have enough energy to do these activities that you actually enjoy doing to keep your body fit. Therefore, following a healthy diet means ensuring that you eat when you are hungry, you stop eating when you are full, you include plenty of different types of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, things like brown rice, oatmeal millet. So when you find the activity you like, try to do it at least 3 to 4 times a week. As a result it will really help improve your level of fitness. In addition it can actually cause you to lose weight
So, a 20% of the pie chart I made takes the jumble sale and 10% - other ways of collecting money. Overview This year it was decided to organise a fund-raising day for the charity. It was the nice and cheerful time. Many people agreed to become our volunteers this day. There were about 50 persons, mostly students from the nearest university and some my colleagues came to help us. Youngsters were wonderful! They were so enthusiastic, for example, they thought of some additional activities. We certainly add these to the programme of an event next year. Surprisingly, but just that raised the vast of money. The total raised exceeded the income of the last year. Proposals In the light of this year`s experience, I would like to make some proposals for a similar event next year. The more different activities we have there, the better it is.
