Social media information and data collection and security

platforms and technology companies have provided agencies with the „back door“ to their servers. Agencies could access information collected, track users and spy on them, without users knowing it. Of course when the news broke out, it got a lot of media ttention because majority wasnt sure it will be like this. Companes had to come forward and explain thing or two. After the leaks companies have become more transparent about their server side information sharing to 3rd parties and only when court order has placed. Dangers of cross-platform account sharing As i briefly mentioned, modern platforms allow access with other platforms accounts to their services through API. Yes, it is convenient to use many platforms under one account and share information between platforms. But what maybe stays underneath, is that users generate a lot more information as big data. We make it easier for companies to target us and maybe even make us easier to identify if needed

Collectivization of agriculture and nationalization of industry began in the late 1940s. In 1991, during the attempted hard-line coup against Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, Estonia declared its independence from the USSR. In June 1992, Estonia replaced the ruble with its own freely convertible currency, the kroon (EEK). Constitutional law of Estonian Government was admitted on 28th of June by national referendum and it came into force on 3rd of July. Lennart Meri was elected president and Mart Laar, a radical free-market advocate, became prime minister. The last Russian forces were withdrawn from Estonia in August 1994. Estonia joined NATO on 29th March 2004 and the European Union on 1st May 2004. 6 Economy In the years that Estonia was part of the Soviet Union, it provided the USSR(The Union of

Beowulf Beowulf is an epic or a long poem describing the adventures of an hero. It belongs to the Anglo-Saxon period, when they were still living on the mainland and then brought to Greta Britain . It was made up in the 3rd or 4th century. I was spread orally until it was written down in the 10th century. The author is unknown and the manuscript is kept in the British Museum (near Trafalgar Square). The story is very important as it allows us to lear about the way of life in the 4th century. The characters can be divided into two groups fictitious and historical. The epic deploys many metaphors - e.g. the sea = the swan's road, body = a house for bones and alliteration. It is structured as two parts

forces at that time - Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario. Eventually the other provinces joined Confederation: Manitoba in 1870, British Columbia in 1871, prince Edward Island in 1873, the two prairie provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1905, and finally Newfoundland in 1949. Thus the name Canada spread from a small community on the St. Lawrence to embrace half a continent from sea to sea and from 3rd to 49th parallel to the North Pole. Political System of Canada Canada is an independent, self-governing nation. However, Canadians recognize Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain as Queen of Canada. The position symbolizes the country's strong ties to Great Britain, which ruled Canada completely until 1867. Canada and the United States have had a relationship of cooperation and friendship since the 1800's. In Canada a federal form of government is combined with a cabinet system.

Raamatu ajalugu - kokkuvõte

Papyrus scrolls were still dominant in the 1st century AD, as witnessed by the findings in Pompeii. The first written mention of the codex as a form of book is from Martial, in his Apophoreta CLXXXIV at the end of the century, where he praises its compactness. However the codex never gained much popularity in the pagan Hellenistic world, and only within the Christian community did it gain widespread use. This change happened gradually during the 3rd and 4th centuries, and the reasons for adopting the codex form of the book are several: the format is more economical, as both sides of the writing material can be used; and it is portable, searchable, and easy to conceal. The Christian authors may also have wanted to distinguish their writings from the pagan texts written on scrolls. 2/15 A Chinese bamboo book

Referaat Islami usust

Muhammad's life is called the Sunnah (literally "trodden path"). This example is preserved in traditions known as hadith ("reports"), which recount his words, his actions, and his personal characteristics. The classical Muslim jurist ash-Shafi'i emphasized the importance of the Sunnah in Islamic law, and Muslims are encouraged to emulate Muhammad's actions in their daily lives. The Sunnah is seen as crucial to guiding interpretation of the Qur'an. Six of these collections, compiled in the 3rd century AH (9th century CE), came to be regarded as especially authoritative by the largest group in Islm, the Sunnites. Family Life The basic unit of Islamic society is the family, and Islam defines the obligations and legal rights of family members. The father is seen as financially responsible for his family, and is obliged to cater for their well-being. The division of inheritance is specified in the

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

We realized right away that we were going to need help, and a very detailed plan. We gathered passionate people, quickly growing to 620 volunteers and partnering with 500 Estonian organizations. Then, we set about to understand the scale of the illegal waste around the country. Using technology, and many of our volunteers, we located and mapped the illegal trash sites to get a better understanding of where to focus our efforts on the big day. On the 3rd of May, 2008, over 50,000 people – 4% of the Estonian population – stepped up together to clean up 10,000 tons of waste. Under normal circumstances, it would have taken the Estonian government three years and 22.5 million Euros to clean up the same amount of illegal garbage. We did it for 500,000 Euros and it took only 5 hours. Country by country this idea started to spread. Active people in many countries have joined to clean up their countries in one day

The title of the book (in paper and Works Cited) should be underlined or in Italics. NB! Do not do both! (underline and italics). 3. Articles are in quotation marks, but you should underline the magazine you take them from. 4. you do not indent the 1st line but the 2nd line and 3rd 5. the list should be in alphabetical order 6. if there is no author then we place first the title of the work 7. entry starts with a family name, BUT this happens only to the first author's name (when there is one work and several authors). 8. if we have 2 authors we use "and" between their names. consonants and preceding a stressed syllable are not reduced to [] (as occurs in the Moscow dialect), being instead pronounced [a] in such positions (e.g. is pronounced [nasli], not [nsli]) this is called yakanye (). Consonants include a fricative //, a semivowel /wu/ and /xxvxw/, whereas the Standard and Northern dialects have the consonants //, /v/, and final /l/ and /f/, respectively. The morphology features a palatalized final /t/ in 3rd person forms of verbs (this is unpalatalized in the Standard and Northern dialects). Some of these features such as akanye and yakanye, a debuccalized or lenited //, a semivowel /wu/ and palatalized final /t/ in 3rd person forms of verbs are also present in modern Belarusian and some dialects of Ukrainian (Eastern Polesian), indicating a linguistic continuum. The city of Veliky Novgorod has historically displayed a feature called chokanye or tsokanye

EXAM - English literature 2

To break down social barriers. Distrust to imagination (close to enthusiasm). Believed in fact and reason. Climate not good for religion and poetry. Good for prose. Writing in English, not Latin. No flourish permitted. All amplifications of style abandoned. Natural way of speaking, positive expressions, mathematical plainness. Clear statements, settled sentence forms. Poetry suffered, mystery dropped. 17. Burlington, Palladianism and the new morality Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington. Travelled to Italy to have architects to draw buildings of Andrea Palladio. Archaic verbal forms may be used to create the historical background or make the narrative more elevated. On the other hand they may suggest the colloquial speech, because these forms are preserved in dialects (e.g. ending st (you live you livest (second person Singular); -eth (indicates the 3rd person singular); -st (Past) (do did (didst). ADVERBS: Are expressive when used as intensifiers (intensifying adverbs) (e.g. terribly smart, horribly polite, awfully pleased, to love fearfully, etc.). Such adverbs give a colloquial touch and their expressiveness depends on 2 incompatible clashing notions put together (oxymoron case). Also degrees of comparison may be involved (e.g. better weller). NUMERALS:

Education

I hear of some children who watch excessive television, or who never do any school homework, or are technical wizards yet know nothing of getting their hands dirty outside playing. Even as we must vary the curriculum for the sake of the mind, we must vary it with the ideal seasons and age levels of students. At what developmental stage children should be exposed to various subjects is wholly unfamiliar to me. I recall my love of art in the 3rd grade, of science in 8th grade, of comparative literature in 11th grade. Probably each student learns at an individual pace, and has personal likes and dislikes, yet overall some fair generalizations can be made about what approach usually works best for most children at various ages. Education for adults is so much different. Almost all of my teaching has been directed to adults. I've dealt with preschoolers, elementary and junior high school kids exclusively in my

immune system, so the body will not fight the new foreign genetic material in her womb. Fessler hypnotized that the nausea response helps to compensate the suppressed immune system. He gathered almost 500 healthy pregnant women and asked them to consider potentially stomach-turning scenarios. He found that women in the early trimester scored much higher across the board in disgust sensitivity than their counterparts in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. According to Fessler, many of the diseases that are most dangerous are food-borne, but our ancestors could not afford to be picky about what they ate. The natural selection may have helped to decrease the chance of disease by increasing the urge to be picky. The sensitivity seems to diminish as the risk of disease decreases. This is consistent with the view of disgust as a form of protection. Discuss ethical considerations in research into genetic influences on behavior.
