We could say, that we are just dealing with globalization, but since the most influence apparently comes from US and not equally from the rest of the world, I would say we rather deal with Americanization. Language is unquestionably an integral part of culture and through language people recognise their national identity. Until the 20th century, our mother tongue was most influenced by German language. During the first half of 20th century, Estonian language was closer to Finnish and the second half of 20th century was dominated by Russian influences. In the 21th century, however, Estonian language has been stoutly impacted by English. Some people are very protective and resolute about preserving Estonian language with its linguistic diversity just as it is without any foreign influences

Book opinion I read the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” written by Harper Lee, published in 1960. The books events take place in 1880’s Alabama. I really liked the book and I understand why it’s important for people- especially young people like high-schoolers to read this book. The book gives good insight on why we still have problems with racism around us and how much worse it was back in the 19th and 20th century. It has a good mixture of educational and historical topics and humour. Although many things are told the reader through metaphors, the meaning of the metaphor is often explained, as the book is told through a kid’s point of view. I would recommend this book to high schoolers, as it explains important topics that are still an issue to this day and it may be an eye- opening book to some people.

Koalas The koala is an arboreal herbivore marsupial native to Australia. It is easily decide by its strong, tailless body; round, fluffy ears; and large, spoon-shaped nose.
