NORTHERN LIGHTS

NORTHERN LIGHTS LIINA VIROLAINEN 12A CLASS KEILA KOOL NORTHERN LIGHTS Northern lights is a common name for the Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere. Where can we see the northern lights? The Northern Lights, as the name suggests, are especially related to the polar regions. They occur most frequently in a belt of radius 2500 km centered on the magnetic north pole. This so-called auroral zone extends over northern Scandinavia, Island, the southern tip of Greenland and continuing over northern Canada, Alaska and along the northern coast of Siberia. How often can you see the Northern Lights? In Troms and Finnmark, we can see the Northern Lights every other clear night, if not even more frequently. From southern Norway, only a few times a month while in central Europe hardly more than a few times a year and they have even been seen from the Mediterranean but only a few times each century. He was member of the famous lawyer company. He knows the historical background to various more than anyone else in England. People said Mr. Treves ought to write his memoirs. Mr. TREVES knew better. He knew that he knew too much. He's opinion was always respected. The group who sat around the fireplace talked about the murder what had happened in the Old Bailey in the morning. 38 riigi vangide arvu aritmeetiline keskmine on 18 999. Mediaan, ehk väärtus, millest suuremaid ja väiksemaid väärtusi on võrdselt, on 7 573. Antud vaatlusel ei tule mood välja, sest igas riigis on vangide populatsiooni arv erinev. Hajuvuse näitajad antud andmete puhul on minimaalne 38, mis on Liechtensteini vangide populatsioon ja maksimaalne 90 732, Türgi. Carbon capture and storage

Humans are changeing the planet with their ordinary life. The principle cause of climate change is the increase in carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. The main cause of that is the burning of fossile fuels. This is leading to the global warming. People have discovered a way to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. It is possible to seperate the CO2 from the other gases by adding liquid which is very good at absorbing CO2. Then it can be pumped to underground. Scientist came up with this idea because methane gas has been down there for thousands of years and it has not come up. So they expect that the CO2 won't be coming up either. To be sure of that, they are coing to make a test and drill two wells to take purified CO2, inject it into the ground and monitor the physical changes that CO2 undergoes. This technology is really new and it is unknown to people. It has not been proven yet, so people are scared and concerned...

Whale

Whale There are 13 species of great whale and several species of smaller whales. Whales are large, intelligent, aquatic mammals. Whales have many features that we- other mammals have. Such as four-chambered heart, hair, they are warm- blooded. They are the only mammals, other than seacows , that live their entire life in the water, and the only mammals that have adapted to life in the open oceans. Whales are not fish, because they have lungs and they breath air with them. What is special about the whales is their size. They are enormous. Whales are about 29 m long, height is the 9 sotry building. Many whales exhibit behaviors such as breaching and tail slapping that expose large parts of their bodies to the air. These mammals communicate with one another using whale songs, which often sound very high-pitched to the human ear. These songs are unique and fascinating even may be scary. ...

Men and women in politics

Men and women in politics Women have become a force to be reckoned with in the world of politics. Over the past decade, women have resolved into leadership positions, encouraging the same sex to voice their opinions in voting booths, political debates, and society. Not only in America, but nationwide. Women comprise over 35 percent of the lower house in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Demark; 15 percent or less are seen in parliaments within ten countries .
