Reported speech kokkuvõte ja harjutused

Reported Speech (in other words Indirect Speech) If we report what another person has said, we usually do not use the speaker's exact words (direct speech), but reported (indirect) speech. Therefore, you need to learn how to transform direct speech into reported speech. We use reported speech when we are saying what other people say, think or believe. - Example: If this verb is in the present tense (says), it's easy. We just put 'she says' and then the sentence. When we are reporting things in the present, future or present perfect we don't change the tense. : direct speech: "I like ice cream" reported speech: She says she likes ice cream - But, if the reporting verb is in the past tense (said), then usually we change the tenses in the reported speech: direct speech: "I like ice cream" reported speech: She said she liked ice cream. ......... · When there are Changing tenses: present changes to past:::: am/is --- was are -...

BARRIERS TO DISTRICT HEATING DEVELOPMENT IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

BARRIERS TO DISTRICT HEATING DEVELOPMENT IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES Abstract District heating (DH) offers low primary energy demand, high security of supply and small CO 2 emissions. Barriers to DH in the UK, Ireland, France, Romania and the Czech Republic have been compiled through publications and interviews. DH systems require large investments, have negative initial cash flow and long payback time, which obstructs financing. One actor should control DH from source to consumption. If the value chain is fragmented, contracts are required between the links. It increases risks and financing costs, like in the UK and Ireland, where DH is not established. There are few multi- family houses with central heating and it is expensive to build DH networks in built areas. Most French DH systems are operated according to long-term concessions by companies that sell electricity and gas. No strong actor provid...

SUGUPOOLTE ERINEVUSEST JA KONFLIKTIST (R. Mänd) · Sugulise sigimise ja sugude tekkimine eluslooduses. Alguses olid neitsid (esimesed 3-4miljardit aastat). Rakk kasvas geneetiline materjal kahekordistus rakk jagunes siis hakati seksima kaks erineva DNAga rakku liitusid (sügoot=viljastatud munarakk, tekkis uus olend nt taim, inimene, seen), suurenesid, jagunesid toimus veelkord raku jagunemine (toimus vanemate geneetilise materjali rekombineerumine) ja algas jälle otsast peale. Täiskasvanud organism on ajutine ,,elumasin" geenide paljundamiseks. Esimesed elusolendid harrastasid homoseksualismi (st rakud, mis omavahel ühinesid, olid sarnased). Enamik tänapäeva organisme on aga heteroseksuaalid. Miks sugu tekkis? Tekkis üsnapea...
