Why should tourists visit Estonia?
I have always though of my country as a huge „multicultural
city”. We have so many different cultures from different places put into a little place all together that you could almost say we are
a huge city not a country. And that has influenced us in a very
remarcable way. Since the time we can remember we have been under
Danes, Swedes, Germans, Russians, Polans and other . We have taken
their traditions into our daily lives and forgotten ours. But still despite the fact that we bearly know our own language structure or
our old traditions,we try to awake them once again.
Estonia is one of the worlds wealthiest countries when it comes to forests . Almost half of the country is covered with the divercity of
trees.Also we have many big rivers .
Nowadays there are many possibilities to hike in the forests or to go
for a ride on the river .Many company`s have started to give out this
kind of service and it is very popular not only among the inhabitants

I buy foodstuffs for the family. Coming back I begin to clean the house and get the vegetables ready for supper. We have supper at seven. I do my homework for the next day. It usually takes me several hours to prepare well for the lessons. In the evening, I always try to spend at least an hour at the piano. As a rule my parents and I sit and talk, watch a film on TV, read newspapers and magazines. Sometimes, we go to the cinema or to the theatre. Once or twice a month, I visit exhibitions in my home town. I go to bed at about eleven o'clock, but my parents like to sit up late and write letters or read. Questions: 1. When do you get up as a rule? 2. Why do you do your morning exercises? 3. What do you have for breakfast? 4. How long does each lesson last? 5. When do you begin to clean the house? I knew I was interested in writing and photography . Then came the question, how could I combine them. I examined the theme thoroughly and to my suprise there have always been many nationwide competitions for students and the prize sometimes has been a journey to somewhere. I rememember clearly that the first prize that I got for an essay was a backpack and the first journey that I won was to Brussels. To this day, thanks to these competitions, I have had the chance to visit about ten foreign countries and many of them even twice. Herewith I just want to say that nothing is impossible. The main thing is the desire to gain something. When you have found a goal, then you just have to start working for it! Big city schools have always been preferred to small schools. The United States of America with it's global economic and political superpower is one of the most influential countries in the world and therefore it’s influence can also be felt in Estonia. Fluctuations in Estonia’s status as an independent country have had significant impact on the amount of influence from other countries, whether it is the language, eating habits or lifestyle. But how has United States influenced Estonia after we gained our independence? Estonia is not economically dependent on the United States as they are not one of our most important trading partners, but as the economics of the United States has a great influence on the
pupils. And now all these years later I am a young teacher and it is still important for me what is going on within my society in education. I believe I have some kind of advance of knowing what is really going on in Estonian schools and how the education policy really works. Because not long ago I finished the high school, before that changing a lot of different schools and I think I can say that I superficially know how different schools are working in various regions of Estonia. Being a student at the faculty of education has opened my eyes for a lot of different things, perspectives and helped a lot to understand deeper, why things are like they are. We even had a subject specifically about Education policy on Estonia, Estonian learning strategy for 2020- 2035, where we had to work all that document through. That’s why almost all of my thoughts and argumentation is based on the strategy of Estonian Ministry of Education and Research.
