Writing a film review

WRITING A FILM REVIEW A review is a short description of a film (found in a magazine or newspaper) in which someone gives both factual information and an opinion about the film. A review should consist of the following parts: * Introduction Was the film based on fact or is it pure fiction? What do you know about the background to the film? Give the title of the film and as much info on the background as you can (setting, type of story, main characters, name of the director and the leading actors). * Main body The main body of a review should consist of at least two paragraphs, the first giving the main points of the plot and the second giving general comments (i.e. the pros and cons) concerning the acting, directing, music, special effects, lights, scenery, costumes, etc. Use the present tenses to outline the plot.

Interstate 60 film review

Interstate 60 film review The storyline is based on the main character Neal Oliver having his birthday wish come true – an open-ended wish – to find the meaning of life. The answer lies with a strange blond girl Lynn Linden who provides the protagonist with clues and signs through billboard messages, the non- existent Interstate 60, and the destination of an unknown package to a mysterious town called Danver. The movie begins with two college students in a bar, talking about a thesis statement for an upcoming paper. One of them makes an argument that America is unique in that it has no real mythological character for granting wishes, such as a genie or leprechaun. The two men are soon joined in conversation by an old man at the bar claiming that America does, named O.W. Grant; the son of aleprechaun and a Cheyenne Indian . Neal checks a number of roadmaps, but there does not appear to be an Interstate 60. Taking a guess, he sets out West, only to encounter O.W. Grant along the ro

Film review

Film review A film I have enjoyed recently is The Beach. What made me want to see it was the title first of all, and I also heard that my favourite actor Leonardo Di Caprio plays in that film. It was directed by Danny Boyle and it stars two young actors, Leonardo Di Caprio and Robert Carlyle. The film is set in Thailand. The main character is a young American man who travels to Thailand in search of the perfect vacation. During a stay in Bangkok, he meets a mysterious man who tells him about a secret beach. Richard then heads for southern Thailand in search of the island. Along the way, he meets a young French couple, Françoise and Étienne and he shares the secret of the island with them. The three then start to find the island and finally they get there.

Film review Titanic

Film review „ Titanic” One of the best films that I have seen recently is called „Titanic”, a disaster and romantic film directed and written by James Cameron, music by James Horner. The important characters are Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack dawson and Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater. „Titanic“ is a very moving and gripping film. In the film we see that a ship called „Titanic” sails out. The people are very happy to board the ship. They consider it as an unsinkable ship.In the first half of the movie Rose and Jack fall in love. They are trying to be together although it is not allowed because Rose is from the good family and Jack is just a poor boy. Rose’s husband was very angry and wanted to kill Jack. But in the other half of the movie, something different happens. The ship hits an iceberg
