Environmental issues in Estonia The Earth is considered to be the most beatiful planets in the Universe. But our planet is threaten by environmental problems. Even a small country like Estonia can make difference. Our capital city is fighting against air pollution. But people produce much refuse and ways of recycling are getting old. Water pollution is also a problem in Estonia. We have factories that let their waste run into rivers. One of the biggest problems in Estonia is air pollution. Our air is polluted by exhaust fumes, because today we have a lot of cars, buses and other machines. In 2009 we had 407 cars to thousand inhabitants, which is lower than European Union average, but this number is still high. Because cars produce gases that contain carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide in the air causes global warming, which is the result of the greenhouse effect. Tallinn wants to fight against it by offering public transportation for free, to Tallinn citizen
ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS Our environment is constantly changing. However, as our environment changes, so does the need to become increasingly aware of the problems that surround it. With a massive influx of natural disasters people need to be aware of what types of environmental problems our planet is facing. Endangered animals Thirdly, the life of endangered animals also depends on our action. Poachers kill endangered animals for their expensive skin, fur, teeth and meat. Many organisations adopt these animals to spare their population in the world. Mostly those animals are put to the zoo's, where cattle-tenders take care of them and where these animals can give birth to their cubs safely. But most of these animals get into zoo's in their childhood and when they are grown-up, they can't be put back in the wild-life, cause they cant manage to get food on their own etc. And the places, where the poachers hunt these animals, should be guarded, that the poachers would be captured. For example the air in China is so polluted that people need to wear masks. The pollution of water kills hundreds of thousands of water animals and birds. Introduction To be honest I got the list of topics after most interesting ones for me were taken. At first I was not very satisfied with my topic but then I realized that this could be actually really interesting thing to make a report of. I chose this particular topic because I have always been interested in green energy. This topic gave me an excellent opportunity to improve my knowledge about these kinds of things. For me this report is a great challenge because I have not done anything like this before, especially in English
