Sisters

" "Oh yea, I saw something like that in a western movie as well..." "You're a genius! We must escape now, right?" "Well, do we have a choice?" "But what happened in the film?" "The characters jump off the roof." "Actually, in case you didn't notice, it's about 4 meters downfall." "So? The true heroes face 20!" "Alright then...ready?" "Sure!" They hugged and jumped it was too dark to see where, but they jumped. Somehow the ground felt softer to land on than the twins had thought. Then a scream broke into the night. Creasha knew this wasn't Suzan since they were still hugging, no, it was another female whom voice was very familiar. Suzan was the first one to recognize it. "Mother..."she whispered and a soundless tear crossed her cheek. Creasha told her to wait here, but sister hold to her too strongly to let go now. "Okay, come with me then, but be quiet! You're not the only one who feels like crying!" Suzan nodded and together they moved quickly forwards.

Heartless

walking in the dark. She knew the streets well, and yet there was an unexplainable fear in her little heart. The child didn't look back it wouldn't change the situation, she thought. Soon Heartless reached the Royal Church the place she'd always wanted to visit. The doors were half-open, so our little heroine dared to enter...but that was a big mistake, because as soon as she entered the doors behind her enclosed at once. She tried to open them, but it was useless. She wanted to scream for help, but something stuck in her throat. Terrified by this, she turned around and moved towards the altar, passing the wooden benches on both side the carpeted way, without even paying attention to the 2 decorations. And then she saw something no human should ever see behind the altar, a young man, all covered in red liquid, stood and hold in his arms a body, who reminded of a woman figure

waited in the dark. The police had taken Fagin, and the thieves had narrowly escaped. Much to their surprise, Sikes white dog came to the hideout. They wondered where Sikes was but did not want to see him because of the murder. Three hours after the dog showed up, the ghostly looking murderer himself found his way there. Soon after him, Charley Bates showed up but became very upset when he realized that Sikes was there. He started to scream, and got in a fight with the man who was much bigger than he was. As they were fighting, they realized that a mob was outside with police. They panicked and Charley began screaming that Sikes was there. As the people below tried to break into the building, Sikes decided to clime on the roof and try to lower himself with a rope to the ditch behind because the tide was out. The mob realized what he was doing, and as he was preparing himself, he slipped off the shingles of the roof

Dey Bared to You RuLit Net

" He grinned and held out his hand. "Parker Smith." "Eva Tramell." "You have a natural grace, Eva. With a little training you could be a literal knockout. In a city like New York, knowing self-defense is imperative." He gestured over to a corkboard hung on the wall. It was covered in thumbtacked business cards and fliers. Tearing off a flag from the bottom of a fluorescent sheet of paper, he held it out to me. "Ever heard of Krav Maga?" "In a Jennifer Lopez movie." "I teach it, and I'd love to teach you. That's my website and the number to the studio." I admired his approach. It was direct, like his gaze, and his smile was genuine. I'd wondered if he was angling toward a pickup, but he was cool enough about it that I couldn't be sure. Parker crossed his arms, which showed off cut biceps. He wore a black sleeveless shirt and long shorts. His Converse sneakers looked comfortably beat up and tribal tattoos peeked up from

A lamb to the slaughter

Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl (1916-1990) The room was warm and clean, the curtains drawn, the two table lamps alight - hers and the one by the empty chair opposite. On the sideboard behind her, two tall glasses, soda water, whiskey. Fresh ice cubes in the Thermos bucket. Mary Maloney was waiting for her husband to come him (correction: home) from work. Now and again she would glance up at the clock, but without anxiety, merely to please herself with the thought that each minute gone by made it nearer the time when he would come. There was a slow smiling air about her, and about everything she did. The drop of a head as she bent over her sewing was curiously tranquil. Her skin - for this was her sixth month with child - had acquired a wonderful translucent quality, the mouth was soft, and the eyes, with their new placid look, seemed larger darker than before. When the clock said ten minutes to five, she began to listen, and a few moments later, punctually as always, she hear

Kordamine inglise keele eksamiks A 1.1 Read the text and answer the questions below. Dear Mary-Alice, It's been ages since I last wrote to you, isn't it weird? Yes, so it is, but, I do have a certain reason. Do you remember Sir Thom of the Minquettes'? That fine young man with fascinating blue eyes... Oh, my sweet Mary, you will never guess what happened yesterday! It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Lillian called me out for a walk you know I can't say `no' to my little sis. Anyway we went to the forest near the Swan Lake and, believe it or not, got lost! Awful! I was so scared... We walked and walked, not even knowing the direction we were heading to, until we reached a huge mansion. And the garden around it was so extraordinary... That is something you just must see! But neither the trees nor flowers could be as wonderful as the owner himself! Sir Thom treated us tea and sandwiches, not forgetting to show us way back to the village. He was so kind, don't you think?
