Film review ,,The fifth element" is a science fiction film which is directed by Luc Besson. It's premiere in UK was on 6th June 1997 and in Estonia 9th January 1998. It's screenplay is also by Luc Besson. Main characters were played by really famous actors like Bruce Willis (Korben Dallas), Milla Jovovich (Leeloo), Gary Oldman (Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg) and many more. The story begins in Egypt in 1914 where an archaeologist is about to discover the mystery behind the `Fifth Element', a supreme being that comes to Earth every 5,000 years and, combined with the plain old four elements, defeats whatever evil is threatening the planet. The next thing happens in future, on 23rd century where the Fifth Element gets created once more in the `perfect' form of Leeloo. BOOK REPORT Title of the book: Fight Club Author (name and some general information): Chuck Palahniuk is an American novelist born February 21, 1962 in Washington, USA. He is best known as the author for the novel Fight Club (1996), which was made into a movie in 1999. Palahniuk began writing fiction in his mid-thirties. When he attempted to publish his novel, Invisible Monsters, publishers rejected it for its disturbing content. This led him to work on Fight Club which he wrote as an attempt to disturb the publisher even more for rejecting him. After initially publishing it as a short story in the 1995 compilation, Pursuit of Happiness, Palahniuk expanded it into a full novel, which --contrary to his expectations--the publisher was willing to publish. Like that there is no point in lying, because every lie grows bigger and bigger until it consumes everything and goes out of control. And every lie comes out in the future. The second thing is that you can't keep running from your mistakes. You have to face them if you want to get over them and make them dissapear. this film is also very well-written. I'm sure the director thought it through many times before he started making it. In fact, I really like one point in the movie: it's tjhat there is the perfect man for everyone. Sometimes you just have to look for him. And if you find hin, you can't let him go. On negative side I can point out that at some points it seemed a little unreal. Like in real life it's quite impossible that all the machines in the kitchen break at the same time or in real life, noone goes to a stranger and starts talking about her life.
