Cinema is the most restricitve medium The topic of this essay is cinema as the most restrictive medium. I would like to discuss the restrictions of cinema as such – what these are, how do they affect the medium. For example time limit of the films, budget, how it affects writer and director, what kind of choices they have to make, and how the audience come into play. Personally, i don’t consider cinema as a restrictive medium. Cinema’s most restrictive feature is time. Filmmakers must fit very good shots edited into very good storyline into one and a half to three hour movie, usually. The reason being, we get uncomfortable sitting long period of time. If the movies would be longer, we would lose interest and start doing something else. We would simply get uncomfortable sitting on a chair and the whole cinema experience would become agony. How genre and narrative makes meaning in ``The Black Dahlia`` When analyzing a film, people understand the movie is much more complicated than it seems. To make a difference, to give a meaning to the film, film-makers have used different visual and thematic features. There are macro features (genre, narrative) as well as micro features (mise en scene, cinematography) and they are linked together in many ways. I have chosen to analyse the closing sequence of ``The Black Dahlia``, directed by Brian de Palma, and I will focus on macro features in this essay. Pablo is another type, he is a moral coward, he is a defeatist, who wants to avoid personal danger and wants to save his life, he is mean and betrays his country men. Pilar, Pablo's woman, strong, courageous, patriot, never the less understands the importance of individual human happiness. Human independence and solitarity. Jordan dies, he is left to die. Maria problably is pregnant.
The Polar Boy A year ago, I decided to go to the cinema and watch something extraordinary. The choice fell on an Estonian film “The Polar Boy”. It is a touching romantic drama film produced in Estonia that premiered on May 13. 2016. The film was directed by Anu Aun and the film stars are Roland Laos and Jaanika Arum. This film focuses on the development of the relationship between two young people - Mattias and Hannah. "The Polar Boy" has been supported by Estonian Film Foundation. Mattias is a young talented photographer living in Tallinn, who has a dream to become a student of the Berlin Arts Academy. He is in his final year of school and has to concetrate on studying before exams, but suddendly he fells in love with a girl. Hannah suffers from a mental disorder called bipolarity

forced to leave Latika because of his brother Salim. Jamal didn't go on the show for the money but instead went on for Latika to see him since he knew she watched it. He had to overcome an obstacle of revisiting his most painful memories from all the questions he was asked. He did this all for his love of Latika. Boyle use cinematography to show conflict between Prem, which is one of the obstacles Jamal, must overcome in the film. The two main camera shots used to display this is the bird's eye view and the mid shot. One way cinematography added impact was when the director uses the mid shot when the host and Jamal face each other. This shot brings a lot of tension because it has them both facing each other and it looks like a standoff because there are two computer panels in between both of them, making it look like they are facing each other in a game of tennis with the net separating the two opponents.
The concept of Jackass dates back to 1999 when struggling-actor-turned-writer Johnny Knoxville birthed the idea to test different self defense devices on himself as the basis for an article. He pitched the idea to a couple of magazines and was turned down until meeting with Jeff Tremaine of Big Brother. Whatever kind of movie you make, it must have a clear idea, because the audience needs to understand the content. Film-making is very expensive, even about 15 minutes long film can cost over 30,000 pounds to make. A low-budget feature-length film can cost more than 0,5 million pounds. Therefore, film-maker must be sure that audience will like the movie. Low-budget films in Britain usually begin with a script, which is written specially for playing in the cinema. There are courses over Britain for people who want to learn how to write a script. One person can't take the responsibility of the whole movie, because film-making needs to involve hundreds of people. Low-budget films are shot on limited budget, beacause young or unknown dircetors suffer from lack of funding from studios.
WRITING A FILM REVIEW A review is a short description of a film (found in a magazine or newspaper) in which someone gives both factual information and an opinion about the film. A review should consist of the following parts: * Introduction Was the film based on fact or is it pure fiction? What do you know about the background to the film? Give the title of the film and as much info on the background as you can (setting, type of story, main characters, name of the director and the leading actors). * Main body The main body of a review should consist of at least two paragraphs, the first giving the main points of the plot and the second giving general comments (i.e. the pros and cons) concerning the acting, directing, music, special effects, lights, scenery, costumes, etc. Use the present tenses to outline the plot.

Book Review Q and A (re-branded as Slumdog Millionaire) Q & A is a novel written by Vikas Swarup, an Indian diplomat. Published in 2005, it was the author's first novel. Set in India, it tells the story of Ram Mohammad Thomas, a poor young waiter who becomes the biggest quiz-show winner in history, only to be sent to jail on accusations (but with no evidence or proof) that he cheated. It was the basis of the 2008 feature film Slumdog Millionaire. The novel was re-published under the title Slumdog Millionaire after the success of the film. The book is divided into 14 topics (included the prologue and the epilogue). Each chapter of the book focuses on questions and answers from the quiz-show, but also a story, how Ram Mohammad Thomas knew answer for all the questions he was asked for.
