Raamatu ajalugu - kokkuvõte

BOOKS (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other various material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is called a leaf, and each side of a leaf is called a page. A book produced in electronic format is known as an electronic book (e-book). Books may also refer to works of literature, or a main division of such a work. In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspaper. The body of all written works including books is literature. In novels and sometimes other types of books (e.g. biographies), a book may be divided into several large sections, also called books (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, etc.)

Libraries

Libraries. We know a lot of things thanks to books, but we do not know exactly when and where they originated, and what should be considered the first book in the world. Ancient document, written on parchment, papyri and vellum can hardly be qualified as books the way we understand the word today. Centuries went before paper replaced parchment and papyri. In the 15 th century Johann Gutenberg invented a mechanical process of duplicating texts, which we today call book printing. The first book was printed between 1444 and 1446, so these years can be considered as the beginning years of book printing. His most

Romanian history for her audience. Significantly enough, none of the Romanian texts and documents Á not even the pre-communist ones Á seems reliable to her for this purpose. Thus, throughout the book, a bird's eye view of the entire Romanian history is rewritten through a Western grid. Eva Hoffman's selection comprises, besides Fodor's guide, literary and cultural allusions from world and Romanian literature. Her intertextual universe is populated

- talking about the material (as if you are speaking to the first year student avoid sophistication in language, that may sound unnatural). Comment on examples (from where the example is taken how it is used explain all). NB! Comments everywhere. You have right to: · Supervisor discusses and specifies the topic with you; · Supervisor gives a tutorial where the supervisor sets general directions for your paper and recommends a book (source) for your study; · Supervisor reads your rough sketch (and if necessary checks faults); BUT! Supervisor does not have to correct your language. The talk at the defense: a kind supervisor gets together with you and makes together your talk. As you start reading literature do not trust every word you see. Often we need a second opinion (usually of your Supervisor or ask a more competent person). Where to get second opinion use our

Inglise keele esese - Which will survive - a traditional paper book or an e-book

Which will survive - a traditional paper book or an e-book? The e-book versus traditional paper book battle is becoming a hot topic nowadays. There are lots of arguments about the pros and cons of paper book and an e-book but which will survive? Firstly, a paper book is reasily portable and usually cheap. Also it does not harm your eyes that much. To read a paper book you will probably need a light source and obviously you are not carrying it always around. Furthermore you can not carry all your books with you all the time because they are just too heavy. Also paper books are not very environmental friendly. Secondly, an e-book has a lot of good qualities, for example, you can purchase a book every time you want in spite of going to the book store. Also, if you have a smartphone or a laptop you will always have
