Life in Estonia through the eyes of an economics student With a population of 1 313 271 people, Estonia is one of the least populous member states of the European Union. However, according to the IMF, it is a developed country with an advanced and high-income economy. Estonia follows market economy system which ensures the little government intervention and the determination of prices of goods and services in a free price system. Therefore, economic decisions are guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country's citizens and businesses. Freedom of speech Freedom of speech is a wide speared conception. I can understand it in many different ways. For example in my state, Estonia, the freedom is a very important for every human. At least to me it is seemed to be like that. But at school is a little bit sad story with freedom of speech. Some teachers are not used that student expresses her own strong opinion. When another way some teachers are just waitening it. As well as people can not speak along with state public topics and express their opinion. Therefore freedom of speech is debateable.

Lessons for the future

system's top priority is quite right, but I think that there can be a lot more done to improve our educational structure. I find that Estonian schools should pay more attention to teaching our children current state in our political landscape. Kids, who go to school, are our future and soon-to-be full- right voters in national elections. They will become old and independent enough to be a part of deciding process over their country's future. So, it is very important that they would know which political party stands for what beliefs and who are the politicians in Estonia who are leading our country. Youth, especially youngsters aged 15-18 should know or find out what is their political affiliation. Politics, elections, new laws, different kinds of reforms are constant part of our lives and that is why it is vital for also young people to be well-educated about those subjects

Women writer's influence on our society Estonian women writer's history doesn't go far back. The reason for that is that people were slaves back then. Even if there were writers, then most weren't famous and they wrote poems and stories more for themselves. Also being a woman and a writer wasn't considered as a decent job for a woman at that time. The stories that we have from that time were given to one another by talking and mostly we don't know who were the authors. Education was also very expensive so only rich people could get it and Estonians, who were just farmers, mostly didn't have money for that.
