Secondly, TV commercials mingt be the easyest way to advertise products because for example in the radio You can not see the product, you can only hear what people are talking about it. On the other hand, nowadays the popularity of TV commercials is getting smaller because of the Internet. More and more people use Internet more than they watch TV. Inglise keele kodulugemine teemal: Mass Media

communication which is seen and understood by a large mass of people can be taken to mean mass communication or mass media channels. Why is mass media so attractive to people? Mass media holds a kind of mystique in the minds of the people. It is because the communication is designed in such a way that it appeals to a larger demographic segment. The test of a good mass communication marketing drive is to see if it gets the people talking. If it does, then not only does it mean that the advertising drive has been successful, but the organization in charge of the mass communication is also getting publicity by the word-of-mouth channel! Mass Media Influence It is hard to argue with the fact that mass media has a compelling effect on the human mind. Especially on minds which are more impressionable. For example, the mass media influence on children is understandably higher than it is in adults. So how exactly does mass media influence us? Mass Media Influence on Youth

Advertising has a bad influence on children

Kristin Loit Advertising has a bad influence on children Advertising is one way of marketing. The aim of advertising is to get people's attention that people would buy one particular company's products or services. Commercials and ads are not only directed to adults but also for children's. The good thing of advertising is that it helps us to become aware of the products in the market and the bad thing is the negative effect on childrens. To begin with, childrens are defenseless. They do not understand the ads or commercials, they do not know that it is only a business plan. Advertisements are made in such a way as to attract the attention of children. And that leads to there that children ask their parents to buy some certain products. Children are

Inglise keele lühikirjand teemal Advertising

Advestising Robert Rivik There are many different ways to advertise, most of advertisments that we see are TV commercials and also we can hear advertisments from radio and see advertising posters in public places. Advertising is good for customers, because otherwise they wouldn't know about new products, that different companies are offering. Advertising also keeps the prices lower, for example, when we watch TV and we see 3 different types of commercials based on the same product, then we choose the cheapest product. It means, that every company wants to sell, but for selling they have to keep prices as low as possible. There are different types of advertising techniques, one is aimed at grown ups and other one is for children. Advertisments for grown ups are based on 2 things, how good the product is and how low price it has

Monopolistic competition

The product-variety externality: · Because consumers get some consumer surplus from the introduction of a new product, entry of a new firm conveys a positive externality on consumers. The business-stealing externality: · Because other firms lose customers and profits from the entry of a new competitor, entry of a new firm imposes a negative externality on existing firms. Advertising When firms sell differentiated products and charge prices above marginal cost, each firm has an incentive to advertise in order to attract more buyers to its particular product. · Critics of advertising argue that firms advertise in order to manipulate people's tastes. They also argue that it impedes competition by implying that products are more different than they truly are. · Defenders argue that advertising provides information to consumers

There should be a complete ban on the advertising of dangerous products like cigarettes and alcohol

makes me agree with the ban, to keep children away from bad habits. People who already smoke or drink mostly don't care about the advertisements and are not affected by them. It can clearly be seen that such adverts are only useful for the companies who gain money from new "addicts". Since new smokers increase pollution and make streets full of cigarette packs then it's very bad for people who want to live a good life on our planet. Because of all that I totally agree on a complete ban on the advertising of dangerous products. It wouldn't affect old users, but could help to prevent other people from starting. I think there should also be a ban on advertising of hygienic products, because this is something people should also choose themselves, without any help of strange advertisements.
