The author uses slang and repeats often same words which is essentially quite similar to something that a teenager would do. This does not make, however, the text duller but makes it more lifelike. What surprised me was that even though it is about 60 years old but still alot of today's young people face similar problems as did Holden. Like not knowing what to do with one's life. At first it seemed to me that it was just a random part of someones life. While reading the book I got often bored and couldn't understand what was so special about it and why it is so famous. After finishing the book my first impressioon was that I didn't like it. But I still could not get it out of my mind. I started wondering about certain parts like when he told his sister that he wanted to be, if it was possibe, a somekind of catcher in the rye who catches playing children to protect them for falling down from a cliff. As the titel of the book is catcher in the

Sylvia Day Bared to You Sylvia Day Bared to You The first book in the Crossfire series, 2012 This one is for Dr. David Allen Goodwin. My love and gratitude are boundless. Thank you, Dave. You saved my life. Acknowledgments My deepest gratitude to my editor, Hilary Sares, who really dug into this story and made me work for it. Basically, she kicked my ass. By not pulling her punches or letting me shortchange the details, she made me work harder and because of that, this story is a much, much better book. BARED TO YOU wouldn't be what it is without you, Hilary. Thank you so much! To Martha Trachtenberg, copy editor extraordinaire. This book is an important one for me and she treated it that way. explore. Immediately practical advice is contained in every chapter, so don't discount something based on the title. Even if you are a meat-eater (as I am), for example, you will bene t from "The Meatless Machine." Just don't read it all at once. RULE #2. SKIP THE SCIENCE IF IT'S TOO DENSE. You do not need to be a scientist to read this book. For the geeks and the curious, however, I've included a lot of cool details. These details can often enhance your results but are not required reading. Such sections are boxed and labeled "Geek's Advantage" with a "GA" symbol. Even if you've been intimidated by science in the past, I encourage you to browse some of these GA sections--at least a few will o er some fun "holy sh*t!" moments and improve results 10% or so. If you ever feel overwhelmed, though, skip them, as they're not mandatory for the results you're after. RULE #3. PLEASE BE SKEPTICAL. Don't assume something is true because I say it is.
