The day after tomorrow

The Day After Tomorrow The Day After Tomorrow is a disaster film dealing with global warming starring with Dennis Quaid in the role of government climatologist Jack Hall, Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of Jack's son, Ian Holm in the role of Jack's colleague and Sela Ward in the role of Sam's best friend . Film is directed by Roland Emmerich who has also directed the film Independence Day. This film talks about global catastrophe, where second ice age is coming with a huge storm before it. A climatologist Jack Hall's researches show that his fears are coming true. He must go to the White House to warn everybody, but in addition he must reach to New York to save his son who is draped in a library by storm. On the plus side the movie is visually stunning. Special effects are great and there is plenty of action to keep you in front of the screen. On the other hand some people may not like how far all this climate changing has taken and find this all too exaggera...

Do young people today learn enough at school to face the world tomorrow

But may they affirm that? On the one hand, school period is time of growing up and forming of a human`s personality. A child gets know how to get on with people, how to communicate and makes his or her mind up about many questions with help of classmates and teachers. On the other hand, it depends on school. Tutors of some schools focus only on education. They don`t care of the discipline and pupils` behaviour at all. Probably such school-leavers have only several opportunities for the future to become criminals, join local gangs or to control themselves and to do their best in studies. Such schools may be really named the schools of life because children studying there are forced to grow up earlier than others. Furthermore, present youngsters spend a great deal of their spare time sitting in Internet. They communicate, s...

What Really Matters, Is Today, Not Tomorrow

You have to think about the future. But I say that there is no time like the present. We always think we have so much time. We postpone our duties, work and responsibilities. But it is such a shame to waste time, because we never now what might happen tomorrow. Secondly, it would be much easier to do these things today not tomorrow. Everybody should live one day at a time. When life gives us a chance to explore something new and exciting and meet interesting people, we should definitely use the oportunity. I think you have to be quite spontaneous to enjoy life. It is important to appreciate the people around us. You have to let them know how much you care about them and how much you need them in you life. And you have to do it today, because tomorrow we might not have the chance to do it. In conclusion, I want to quote an American essayist and philosopher Henry David Th...

Books today and tomorrow

Books today and tomorrow Ervin Sagor Books have always played a great role in life and it is important to read them but nowadays people read less than they used to do. When I think about our relationship with books a question comes to my mind: `'Will there be books in the future?'' I think people read more books in the past because then there were no television and radio to entertain people. In the present people rather watch moving images from television than pick up a dusty old book. My opinion on importance of books is that there are books with empty storyline as well as there are books that are considered as true gems which contain knowledge and a great story and the importance of these books is immeasurable. Considering the fact that people in the future will be even lazier than they are now shows that the books will stay on the bookshelves or will be burned but I think that the...

Books Today and Tomorrow

Books Today and Tomorrow Why is it important to read books? Do people read less books than in the past? Will people read less in the future? Books have always played a great role in our lives and reading them is highly important. It increases knowledge and expands vocabulary, which integrates to writing. Reading books makes a person more intelligent and it gives a different perspective. Nowadays people tend to read less books than they used to. The main reason for this catastrophy is the development of technology. People would rather watch moving pictures in the television than pick up an old book covered in dust. In the past, when there were no television or computers to entertain people, books were basically the only amusement. On the other hand the lifestyle of ours has gotten tremendously busy and some do not find the time to just sit back and relax by reading. With the development of technology, people will become more laz...

Nokia Report

Nokia's products are directed to its customers by improving its design, ease of use and lowering the prices of phones. In my opinion that kind of thinking sets Nokia an example to others. Many companies look up to Nokia because of the way it thinks and in their own way some of them try to be like Nokia. Nokia also keeps to its strategy about making only the best products. Nokia has made a lot of improvement since its early phone models such as the Nokia Cityman Mobira 200 and the Nokia 3310. With Nokia's way of thinking about products we live in a century where mobiles have exactly the same functions a computer has. In this case we can all see that Nokia is very keen to the quality of its products. I agree with Nokia when I say that quality is one of the most important things. I also think that Nokia wouldn't have gotten where it is today if its products were not of quality. This shows that tomorrow Nokia will not be just another company but it is The Company everyone should look up to. A conclusion to my analysis can be drawn by the way that Nokia thinks about itself. Nokia believes in its customers, its products and its vision and strategy. I can assure you that no company will get very far without any goals or the respect to its customers and the best example is Nokia. CONCLUSION Before this report I already knew some things about Nokia. For example I know some about the so called "Nokia tune". It is actually based on a guitar work by a Spanish musician and was used on Nokia's first telephones a long time ago. However the tune became so well known that it was changed to "Nokia tune". I'm not sure about the time that the tune was composed but it's just something that I have remembered from somewhere. In addition to the things I knew about Nokia before this report, I found out some...

Kitarrikursus algajatele 5.osa-Ben Edwards

25 MB) QuickTime - Exercise 1 (3.35 MB) WindowsMediaPlayer - Exercise 1 (2.79 WindowsMediaPlayer - Exercise 1 (4.54 MB) MB) Audio Audio mp3 - Exercise 1 (712 KB) In the above warmup, you will have noticed that the frets you play have the same numbers as the fingers you use. This should make it easy to remember what to play. So now after playing that, your fingers should be warmed up and ready to play. Let's move onto learning 'The Midnight Special'... As you already know how to play the chords and the strum for the song, all we really need to work on today with this lesson is getting you to remember the changes and getting into the feel of the song. The first part of `The Midnight Special' is the chord D followed by the chord G. Interestingly the WHOLE song uses the same structure, the guitar plays the same progression in both the verses and the choruses. In tomorrows lesson I will also give you a chance to play along with other instruments, but today we will try and work with a singer and your guitar. You will have noticed by now that I like to break things down and give them to you in small, manageable steps. Nothing is going to change for this lesson. There are going to be four parts to this lesson. Firstly I want you to listen to the song, then I want you to try and play it by yourself, thirdly I would like you to play it with another guitar, and finally we will get you playing it with a singer. I have broken it down into parts like this so that you should have no problems taking each step forward. Now I would like you to just listen to the song. You will hear that there are only two instruments playing (note; it is common to hear the `voice' being called an instrument). Listen carefully to the guitar part, you will be able to hear that it holds the song together and maintains its rhythm....

Ära naera teiste unistuste üle, neil on need vähemalt olemas . With one look , you could make me smile , now withouth even looking , you make me cry . Elu on nagu male , et seda võita , peab tegema õigeid käike , kuid lõppude lõpuks on see siiski vaid mäng !
