Sloths have short, flat heads , big eyes , a short snout, long legs and tiny ears , and they also have stubby tails. Sloths move only when necessary and even then very slowly : they can move at a marginally higher speed if they are in immediate danger from a predator (4.5 m or 15 feet per minute), but they burn large amounts of energy doing so. Despite of that I enjoyed reading The Matlock Paper, Robert Ludlums´ 3rd thriller novel. Story is about English professor, James Barbour Matlock who is recruited by the Department of Justice to investigate a drug smuggling ring, led by a mysterious figure named „Nimrod.“ Everything starts with a man named Ralph Loring, who approaches Matlock, whose brother died due to an overdose of heroin.
