Why did Russian civil war breake out in 1918

Why did Russian civil war breake out in 1918? The Russian Civil War was to tear Russia apart for three years, between 1918 and 1921. The civil war occurred because after November 1917, many groups had formed that opposed Lenin's Bolsheviks. These groups included monarchists, militarists, and, for a short time, foreign nations. Collectively, they were known as the Whites while the Bolsheviks were known as the Reds. But why did it really breake out? There were three reasons why Civil War broke out in Russia in 1918.The first reason was that there was bound to be a challenge to the Bolsheviks, who had seized power by a surprise coup. After 1918, their political opponents tried to reverse it. The Bolsheviks had many enemies. One group who wanted to destroy the Bolsheviks were the Social Revolutionaries. At first, they had supported the November Revolution. Elections had been held in November 1917 for a new government, ...

TEXT The Irish Problem

The Irish Problem ~the Irish can not be trusted~ In 1641, just prior to the Civil War, the Irish of Ulster had begun an uprising and attacked the planters who had been settled 30 years before. Between 10,000 and 15,000 Protestant planters were murdered by the Irish at places such as Portadown. Due to the war, the English did nothing about this and the death-toll became heavily exaggerated over time. In 1649, after the Civil War had ended, Cromwell landed at ...

Comparative law

1.Common law A common law legal system is a system of law characterized by case law which is law developed by judges through decisions of courts and similar tribunals a common law system is based on legal precedents. The roots of the common law legal systems can be traced back to the first common law system created in England during the Middle Ages. Today, most countries that once had ties to England, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong, to name a few, operate under common law. Aside from Great Britain, the majority of the countries in Europe operate under a version of civil law modeled after the Roman legal system created centuries ago In a common law system, the law is created by precedents set after judges decide actual cases. When a judge hears a case that has a new issue in it, the judge makes a decision regarding the issue in the case. That decision then becomes a precedent that must be followed by o...

Esimene verevalamine toimus Ka...

History of the USA.

The United States of America. History. For thousands of years America was unknown to Europe. There lived only the native people, who had come from Siberia many thousand years ago by a land bridge. They had spread over the country, varying enormously from nomadic food gatherers to fishing societies. Then the Vikings visited Canada around AD 1000, but they did not stay. In 1492 Christopher Columbus discovered America while trying to reach India. He named the native people Indians, because he though he had reached India. He didn't stay either and in the sixteenth century the first Europeans to settle in America were the Spanish, the English and the French. The first village founded by the English settlers was in Virginia in 1607. It was called Jamestown. They didn't have good relations with the Indians and many of them died. But Pocahontas, the daughter of an Indian chief, became their friend and helped them....

Max Weber

1. Mida mõistab Weber poliitika all? Täna mõistame poliitika all mingi poliitilise ühenduse ( riigi) juhtimist või juhtimise mõjutamist. Poliitika – püüdlus võimus osaleda või võimu jaotamist mõjutada. Poliitika all mõeldakse võimu säilitamist, jaotamist. 2. Millistele seesmistele õigustustele ja millistele välistele vahenditele toetub domineerimisuhe? On olemas 3 seesmist õigustust, st. domineerimise legitiimsusalust: * „ igavese eilse“ autoriteet – iidse kehtivuse ja harjumusliku seadumuse kaudu tema säilitamiseks püstitatud komme- „traditsionaalne“ domineerimine. *“karismaatiline“ domineerimine - valitud sõjape...

Õiguse ajalugu (common law)

Sissejuhatus Common law' mõistet võib kasutada erinevates tähendustes. Selle lai tähendus hõlmab kõigigis Anglo Ameerika maades eksisteerivat õigusnormide, tavade, juriidiliste protseduuride ja pretsedentide kogumit.1 Kitsamas môttes aga kujutab common law endast üldise ôiguse ja ôiglase ôiguse normide kogumit, mis on loodud kohtute ôigusmôistmise käigus ja nende poolt rakendatavat tavaôigust. Common law kujunemine algas sellest, et avalikku vôimu omavad inimesed lahendasid ôigusemôistmise teel juriidilis probleeme. Seejuures muutus juba kord tehtud kohtulahend common law osaks ning oli siduv uute analoogsete probleemide lahendamisel (pretsedent). 2 Common law kui pretsedendile rajaneva õigussüsteemi kujunemise traditsiooniliseks algoritmiks on kohtuotsustele antud siduv jõud ning kohtute sõltumatus muude võimalike õiguse allikate suhtes. Common law all mõistetakse erinevaid nähtusi, millest ainult üks võimalus on seotud siduva ko...

Schotland

Scotlan History The history of Scotland begins around 10,000 years ago, when humans first began to inhabit Scotland after the end of the Devensian glaciation, the last ice age. Of the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age civilization that existed in the country, many artifacts remain, but few written records were left behind.People lived in Scotland for at least 8,500 years before recorded history dealt with Britain. The written history of Scotland largely begins with the arrival of the Roman Empire in Britain, when the Romans occupied what is now England and Wales, administering it as a Roman province called Britannia. To the north was territory not governed by the Romans -- Caledonia, by name. Its people were the Picts. From a classical historical viewpoint Scotland seemed a peripheral country, slow to gain advances filtering out from the Mediterranean fount of civilisation, but as knowledge of the past incr...

Sellisel juhul on silmas peetud nende tasakaalustavat mõju ühiskonna teistele võimukeskustele. 2) Termini teine tähendus on ühiskond, kus inimese põhiõigused ja -vabadused on kaitstud ning kus tal on võimalik poliitilisi otsuseid mõjutada. Christmas and Easter

Dear Tom, It was nice to hear from you and you asked me to write about religious holidays that are celebrated in my country. I will talk about Easter and Christmas celebrations. Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar. The date of Easter therefore varies between March 22 and April 25. Originally only Christians celebrated Easter. According to Christians, Jesus was resurrected from the dead that day. Newer elements such as the Easter Bunny and Easter egg have become part of the holiday's modern celebrations, and those aspects are often celebrated by many Christians and non-Christians alike. There are also some Christian denominations who do not celebrate Easter. Other religious holiday is Christmas. It's one of the most popular festivals of Christian community celebrated all over the world. According to Christians it's the day when Jesus was born. Christmas is held on December 25 in mo...

We all have rights to free self-realisation and self-expression. We can choose our area of activity, profession and position of employment. When we talk about education then I can say, we all have right to learn in school and to become smart and educated people. When we speak about liberties then example civil liberties are voted in European Parliament election when you are eightteen and over, you can belong to unions, then you can apply for legislative council. Scotland

Report of SCOTLAND Maiki Joakit 10. klass 2008 Etymology Scotland is from the Latin Scoti, the term applied to Gaels. The Late Latin word Scotia (land of the Gaels) was initially used to refer to Ireland. By the 11th century at the latest, Scotia was being used to refer to (Gaelic-speaking) Scotland north of the river Forth, alongside Albania or Albany, both derived from the Gaelic Alba. The use of the words Scots and Scotland to encompass all of what is now Scotland became common in the Late Middle Ages. History Repeated glaciations, which covered the entire land-mass of modern Scotland, have destroyed any traces of human habitation that may have existed before the Mesolithic period. It is believed that the first post-glacial groups of hunter-gatherers arrived in Scotland around 12,800 years ago, as the ice sheet retreated after the last glaciation. Groups of settlers began building the first known permanen...
