Essee "Teenager and pocket money"

Many children earn their pocket money by doing some jobs at home, but lots of them do not need to work for it. I think that it depends on the specific children whether his/her parents should pay him/her. My parents do not give me money for bringing firewood or mowing the lawn. They have never paid me for such jobs and I think I would feel rather bad if they did. I have understood that I need these domestic jobs done as much as everybody else in my family. My mother doesn't get paid for feeding me, so why should I be better than her. I know a family where one of the children gets paid for simple domestic jobs and the other does not. It seems unfair to me. On the other hand, I find that getting paid for chores could be rather good motivator for younger kids. In the world full of computers and TVs we are getting lazier day by day. Children nowadays may need this motivating. If...

Oliver twist - kokkuvõte

She delivered a sickly child who had trouble breathing. The woman, without a word of who she was, died and left her new born boy, Oliver, to the drunken nurse that stood by. Chapter2: The State gave Oliver to Mrs. Mann who housed a number of orphaned children. Mrs. Mann took a large portion of the money given to her by the authorities for each child's food so Oliver grew up small and malnourished. On his ninth birthday, the town beadle, Mr. Bumble, came to collect Oliver and take him to the board for an interview. They told him he was to live with other wards of the state to become educated and learn a trade. Oliver did not mind this, but soon after he arrived, the state decided to implement a plan that would save money by feeding the people very little. After a time on this diet, the boys at the table chose Oliver to go ask the head cook for more...

Time travel

The Time Machine which I never thought will work, just brought me back from my travel to 1975. I've always imagined what the 70's would have looked like and I've even dreamed of living in that time. And now I finally got to see and feel it. I wasn't quite sure where would The Machine bring me, but luckily it worked perfectly and brought me into the New York City. I think that it somehow works on the power of mind and it gets you exactly where and when you want to be. On the first sight it all looked wonderful, the grass was greener and the air was more easier to breathe of course I was evolved into the famous Central Park. I didn't know where to go or what to do, so I whistled, like they do in the movies, and took a cab. I asked the driver just to drive me around the city and show m...

Letter to aunt Anette

Estonia 01/03/04 Dear aunt Anette, Thank you for your letter. I hope you and uncle Joe are well and that you'll find a good place for living. At school is a very terrible time at the moment. I have to spend all my time to studing, because the exams are coming, as you know. I'm not very good at maths so I'm thinking about taking a private teacher. It's quite expensive, but I have to pass the exams, so It's OK. Thanks for the invitation to visit you at London. I've never been there but I'm sure It's great. I would love to see you after these years. I think you have not change at all. I'm glad that I can see uncle Joe for last! You have written so much about him. Did he bought a new car yet? If It's okay to you I'll visit you and uncle Joe in the middle of summer...

Dear Mum

I can't stop thinking about dogs. I know you don't like dogs. But when you see a little puppy in our home, you will change your mind. Of course dog needs extra money , but I have some savings. I will change my pocket money for a dog. Mum, don't worry about walking dog, feeding dog or cleaning after dog. I will do all! Please mum, let's have a dog. Aforismid

Luuleprojekt Laulusõnad esitajalt Tupac Shakur Dear mama When I was young me and my mama had beef Seventeen years old kicked out on the streets Though back at the time, I never thought I'd see her face Ain't a woman alive that could take my mama's place Suspended from school; and scared to go home, I was a fool with the big boys, breakin all the rules I shed tears with my baby sister Over the years we was poorer than the other little kids And even though we had different daddy's, the same drama When things went wrong we'd blame mama I reminice on the stress I caused, it was hell Huggin on my mama from a jail cell And who'd think in elementary? Heeey! I see the penitentiary, one day And runnin from the police, that's right Mama catch me, put a whoopin to my backside And even as a crack fiend, mama You always was a black queen, mama I fin...

Having a job while studying

One point of view in favour is preparation for the further life. On the other hand, having a job while studying shortens your spare time, time to relax and rest your brain, also you do not have time to do your homework properly, grades will suffer. Furthermore, young people should have enough time to spend with their friends and family, while students who work, use their ,,free time" to earn money , they enter to the grown-up world too soon, not to mention the fact that these working students usually do not have enough time for their personal life, relationships with opposite gender will suffer. They lose piece of their childhood. However, these students who are working while their studyies, are more prepared to real life, life where they have to deal with all kind of hard situati...
