One of the commercials that I am sure many of you have already seen is the following one: Page 2 of 5 http://www.defactual.com/marxism-still-relevant/ This commercial is a perfect example of the sexism previously discussed. The visual and written texts were produced by the fast food company Burger King. On the left the photo contains a young woman, with her mouth open. Her appearance clearly also plays a role in the effort to sell Burger King’s meal. Note not particularly intelligent. Adjacent to her mouth there is a sandwich that Burger King tries to sell through this add. The logo in the upper right hand corner is much smaller than the hamburger, the product being sold and the woman’s lips, which further emphasizes
13 1.1.3. Key Macroeconomic indicators For Key Macroeconomic indicators and forecasts please refer to Appendix 1. Ukraine's economic sectors are diverse, but in need of new capital and investments to compete with sectors in the West. The country's major export categories include: ferrous and non-ferrous metals, steel products and steel structures; chemical products (including fertilizers; plastics and rubber); agricultural products and food (mainly grains, cereals; food processing and packaging). As seen from the list above, Ukrainian economy is strongly dependent on various commodities and as result of price fluctuations of those commodities. Perhaps, the only commodity group, which is in long-run rather immune (not 100% though) to cyclical changes are agricultural products. Taking into account growing population worldwide and gradual income growth, particularly in food importing Asia and Africa, it's rather safe assumption

History exam *Stonehenge - is a monument located in England. It is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world and is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. The surrounding circular, earth bank and ditch, have been dated to about 3100 BC. Stonehenge was produced by a culture with no written language. Many aspects of Stonehenge remain subject to debate. There is little or no direct evidence for the construction techniques used by the Stonehenge builders. *The Celts in Britain and their legacy The Cets lived in Britain in The Iron Age. They were warring tribes who were battleful amongst themselves as well as inter-tribal war. They were not centrally governed. The Celts brought iron working, iron ploughs and metal swords, horses, wheels and chariots - all these things gave them an instant superiority over the native tribes. The Celts built a number of hill forts throughout the region. The society
INTRODUCTION OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. Supply chains exist in both service and manufacturing organizations, although the complexity of the chain may vary greatly from industry to industry and firm to firm. Supply chain management is typically viewed to lie between fully vertically integrated firms, where the entire material flow is owned by a single firm and those where each channel member operates independently. Therefore coordination between the various players in the chain is key in its effective management. Cooper and Ellram [1993] compare supply chain management to a well-balanced and well-practiced relay team. Such a team is more competitive when each player knows how to
dairy products, sugar beets and maple sugar products to name a few. Copper, cold, iron ore, nickel and zinc are the minerals most often sent to other countries. Natural gas and oil are other important exports along with forestry products. Though largely dependent on natural resources Canada has also a strong manufacturing industry. Transportation equipment such as automobiles and automobile parts are our most important manufactured goods, followed by food, paper products and chemicals. Canada is also a world leader in the telecommunications industry. 13. Biggest cities Canada's biggest cities are Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, Ottawa (which is also the capital), Edmonton, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Toronto has a population of 2, 5 million which makes it the biggest city in Canada. 14. History The earliest discovery of the New World was made by Norse seafarers known as Vikings. In
production, led black South Africans to rely more and more on comparatively expensive, industrially-processed foodstuffs like wheat flour, white rice, mealie (maize) meal and sugar. Often these foods were imported or processed by white wholesalers, mills and factories. The consequence was to drastically restrict the range of ingredients and cooking styles used by indigenous cooks. On the other hand, some imported food plants (maize, tomatoes) have expanded the dietary range of indigenous cooks. Of these maize is the most significant - it has been integrated to such an extent into the traditional diet that it is often assumed to be an indigenous plant. Popular foods in modern South Africa are chicken, limes, garlic, ginger, chili, tomatoes, onions and many spices. Settler cookery South Africa was settled from the seventeenth century by colonists from the
Britain exporter coal, cloth, guns and other manufactured products. Imports included cotton, sugar, tobacco and tea. The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution began in the second half of the 18th century in which industry was transformed from hand-work at home to machine-work in factories. By 1800 Britain was the most industrialized country in the world. It was rich in coal, iron ore and wool and new methods of farming meant that England could produce enough food to feed herself and export some as well. However, the working conditions were brutal and unhealthy, safety was disregarded and there was a lot of environmental pollution. Travelling and communications were improved. Many canals and railways were built; telegraph lines, magazines and newspaper provided people with steady flow of information. The population of Britain rose from 8 million to 14 million. The largest and richest city in Europe was London, with a population of around a million
